WATCH: Tania Campbell elected new Executive Mayor of the City of Ekurhuleni

The Democratic Alliance (DA)’s Adlerwoman Tania Campbell is the new Executive Mayor of the City of Ekurhuleni.

Campbell was elected executive mayor at the councillor’s inaugural event at Germiston Civic Centre on November 22.

There were 222 votes, 221 votes were declared valid, 1 vote was spoilt.

Adlerman Mzwandile Masina from the ANC received 105 votes.

The African National Congress (ANC) has lost control of the Ekurhuleni municipality after Mzwandile Masina was trounced by the DA’s Tania Campbell.
