Alberton High learners excited to return to class
After their winter holidays, Alberton High School learners were thrilled to get back into the swing of things with academics as they reopened on July 26.
Learners were excited to be back in class after the winter holidays, especially Grade 12 learners as the school prepares them for their upcoming preliminary exams.
With extra-mural activities, the school assured that it was excited for the start of the Alberton Eisteddfod, which will afford learners an opportunity to show off their cultural and dramatic flair.
Oscar von Platen, a teacher at the school, said while they all hope to be back to a normal school year soon they are still ensuring the safety of complying and following all health protocols.
“Our teachers used the break to prepare for the second half of the academic year and the hopeful return of our Grade 11s full-time later this term. Grades Eight to 11 are also extremely excited about the prospect of being elected as part of the 2021/2022 councillor body,” he said.
