A man was arrested by CPS Security on March 30 in Charl Cilliers Street in Alberton North.
According to the sales director from CPS Security, Tyrone van der Merwe, their control room received a call about a suspect who was spotted looking over a wall at a nearby business.
“Our reaction officers were dispatched and confronted the suspect and found several CCTV cameras in his possession.”
Some were stolen from a local cafe.
“We have had an increase in CCTV camera theft the past few weeks in the surrounding areas, so if your cameras have been stolen please open a case at Alberton SAPS,” van der Merwe concluded.
