Verwoerdpark author Veli Ndaba has added to his collection his fourth newly published book, titled Set Your Soul on Fire.
Veli Ndaba, who left his long career of mechanical engineering for his love of writing and motivational speaking, is now on a mission to engineer minds.
Determined to help people reach their destinies, Ndaba has added to his collection his fourth newly published book, titled Set Your Soul on Fire.
He has also published three books on personal development, motivation, inspiration and empowerment.
His debut book, which he published in 2015, titled You Are Born to Win, paved a way for Your Dream is Calling You, followed by Switch On!
Ndaba’s purpose is to inspire and empower people to have clarity and discover their purpose to become the best versions of themselves. The father of two has always been a believer that he is called to ‘set mental slaves free’.

Ndaba told the RECORD he has a healthy mix of passion and insight into professional and personal development, which sets him apart from other authors.
“I’m a mechanical engineer with a BSc in management science, diploma in mechanical engineering, and project management. I worked as a junior engineer up to senior engineering manager and I was responsible for staff recruitment and many other skills,” he said.
He reiterated that he helps people align their beliefs, habits and goals to live meaningful and purposeful lives.
Newly published book
The inspiration behind his book was to empower people to overcome their failures and bring about optimism.
“I left engineering to engineer people’s minds. The book shares a recipe for success. It helps people discover that a person maximises their life when they work around their strengths. It also guides them to discover themselves, which is something crucial,” said Ndaba.
“It helps people find their element. When you find your element, you become the voice, not an echo. In chapter 51 of my book I’ve used a quote by Joel Salatin, ‘The worst thing in life is waking up old and realising you became so good at the wrong thing.’.
The 48-year-old Verwoerd Park resident is a renowned motivational speaker, life coach, consultant and author.
