Brackendowns SAPS confiscated three stolen trucks and arrested one suspect on October 10.
The arrest follows a complainant reporting that she saw her stolen truck on a business premises in Alrode South to Brackendowns Police Station. The truck was reportedly stolen in Linden.
Brackendowns SAPS, accompanied by security companies, went to the address and found three trucks and one trailer.
“Workers were stripping one truck and preparing it to be sprayed,” said WO Gerhard Cornelius, spokesperson for Brackendowns SAPS.
The trucks were reportedly tested and found to be stolen, one of them belonging to the complainant.
Within one of the trucks a number plate belonging to a Toyota Corolla reported stolen in Moffat View was found.
Another tag was retrieved from the scene belonging to a truck trailer reported stolen in Benoni.
