Tragic N1, Golden Highway crash claims life of a four-year-old boy

According to information received, the four-year-old boy is autistic.

JMPD officers recorded an accident on Sunday, June 28 where a four-year-old boy was bumped and killed by a car on the N1 North, between N12 and Golden Highway.

According to JMPD Media Spokesperson, Wayne Minnaar, “the accident occurred at approximately 5.10 pm when a 28yr old female driver who was driving a silver Citroen in the second lane from the left bumped the child.”

The female driver was alone in her car when the accident occurred, and was not injured but is an extreme state of shock

“A charge of culpable homicide will be investigated, and the parents of the child will be charged for child neglect. According to information received, the four-year-old boy is autistic,” he added
