It was back to school for Parklands High School’s Grade 12 learners as they reopened on June 8 together with many other Alberton schools.
Excitement was the order of the day for the learners as they geared up with face masks ready to continue with the academic year.
The school ensured that learners observe health and safety protocols as they came into the school.
While observing social distancing, they were screened as they took turns in gaining access to the school using one entrance. Tommie Stoltz, the principal, assured the RECORD that they were ready to go back to class and that learners would be offered support.
“Everything went smoothly and the turnout of our matric learners was commendable. Our classes are sorted and we do have more than 20 learners in a class and our learners are not changing classes. “Our learners are also positive about finishing the rest of the academic year,” he said.
