It is again the time of the year to prepare for this years’ Stay warm day in May, and this year we are so proud to announce that our goal is to feed 100 000 children in the South of Johannesburg and surrounding areas!

It takes place from the end of May to the end of August and we would be involved in feeding children’s homes, homes for the disabled, Aids homes, schools, crèches in need and homeless and poor children, even on mine dumps.

During 2013 we managed a total of 80 126 children, which we are so grateful for, as each child fed makes it even more special. This year the huge target has to be achieved and that can only happen by the Southerners getting together and assisting us in making this dream come true!

Also the government has asked for 20 hours of work to be done to make our land, South Africa, a better place for all. Your 20 hours could be achieved by helping us to paint a feeding scheme kitchen in each of the schools and making it possible for them to have their feeding schemes running in a clean kitchen; painting and fixing where possible, replacing their fridges and freezers that are mostly inadequate, but with the help from the public and the wonderful sponsors in the South we can achieve that!

To feed 100 000 children with a cup of soup and two slices of bread, means we need a minimum of 200 000 slices of bread, 25 000 litres of soup; that is 250 ml per child, so we appeal to everyone to let us make this happen!
