Modelling her way to the top

She was totally speechless, winning as the Intern for the Alberton Figures Modelling Agency.

On Saturday February 15 the Alberton branch of Figures Modelling Agency held their annual Valentine’s social event at The Glen shopping centre.

There was much excitement among the girls and boys as to what to wear and how the show would go. Naturally, a 10-year-old girl, Tieghan Griffin-Coetzer, was just as excited as everyone else. She dressed in a lovely white skirt and red top and strutted her model walk with two other girls on the catwalk – they looked and walked beautifully.

She also danced with the dance group and enjoyed herself thoroughly. At the end of the show, an announcement was made. Tieghan was elected as the Intern for the Alberton branch of the Figures Modelling Agency.

She was totally speechless – something that does not happen very often according to her mom Emma Griffin-Coetzer!

This means that she gets to be the role model for the agency and helps with the campaigning and recruiting of new students.

“We are so very proud of her – this was truly a huge surprise and a great honour as Tieghan has only been modelling since November last year. We have seen her grow in confidence and her self-esteem is now very healthy.

“She walks upright and has pride in her appearance,” said a proud mom.

The modelling has helped her confidence in front of audiences and has helped her with giving good school class speeches. “I am very thankful to the Figures Modelling Agency in Alberton for giving my child this wonderful opportunity,” said Emma.

Her “job” over the next couple of months is to help get children of all ages to join the modelling and she can even win a sponsored trip to New York in July for all her hard work if it pays off!

“Go Tieghan – we are behind you 100 per cent of the way,” ended Emma.
