Owein Lombard memorial fundraiser golf day
It has been a long and hard journey with many obstacles, but after more than 18 months and 13 court appearances, a trial date has now been set for April 15 and 16.
The objective of the Owein Lombard Memorial Golf Day, which will take place on March 1 at Sun Valley Ranch, is to raise funds to cover the significant legal costs incurred by the Lombard family in their fight for justice.
It has been a long and hard journey with many obstacles, but after more than 18 months and 13 court appearances, a trial date has now been set for April 15 and 16.
The last obstacle in this fight for justice is to bring the key witness, currently residing in Australia, to South Africa for the trial.
Format of game:
*4-ball Alliance
*Mulligans at R20 each
*Pink Balls at R50 each / R200 per 4-ball
R350 per player or R1 400 per 4-ball (Halfway and entrance to picnic area included).
They require sponsorships for 18 holes at R1 500 per hole. A trust account has been opened with a trustee to manage all funds.
Family members and friends are all welcome to join in the picnic area, while the golfers sweat it out on the golf course. R40 entrance fee for adults / R30 for children. Own picnic baskets and refreshments welcome. Face painting and jumping castle to entertain the kids! There will be a prize giving/raffle draw and braai after the golf day. All welcome!
