WATCH: Mayberry Park resident, DJ Nkuly releases second album

DJ Nkuly Knuckles (32), whose real name is Nkululeko Nkabinde, has recently released his latest album titled BonaFide House Vol One.

The Mayberry Park resident is the director of KnuckleProSound, an indie record label based in his private home.

Nkabinde has shared the stage with some of South Africa’s top DJs such as Vinny Da Vinci, Glenzito, DJ Zinhle, Sai and Ribatone. He currently hosts the Knucklesprosound Live sets, where he invites various DJs to share their talent while streaming live on social media sites, such as Facebook.

The passionate artist started his music career as a deep house DJ in 2002, where he was part of a local events company in Katlehong.

He later improved his skill and opened his own sound and entertainment company called NKZ productions. The company operated from late 2003 to 2014.

In 2006, while pursuing his studies in engineering at the Vaal University of Technology, he made a name for himself as a house music DJ.

He played at various events and was given a platform to entertain students during school occasions.

Debut album

In 2017, Nkabinde grew as an artist and released his debut album titled K1 House Music Rendition 1.0.

“The album was co-produced by SweetRonic Deep and it featured artists such as Tone, Zenie and Lungie Naidoo.

“The album was played in some radio stations such as Metro FM, Vow FM and Kasie FM. All the publishing was done by Knucklesprosound,” he said.

Newly released

The DJ’s newly released album has 13 uplifting soul and deep house songs which have been reviewed and supported by artists Vinny Da Vinci, Ribatone and Soul-T.

Nkabinde told the RECORD that the album is available across digital stores such as Apple Music, Google Play, Spotify, Traxsource, Beatport, Amazon, Deezer and Tidal.
