Alberton North-born artist Ace Makasana has finally released his latest EP, which took him 11 months to prepare.

Ace, who started off as a dancer, aims high and has gained popularity in most townships in Ekurhuleni.

He regards himself as a hustler who grabs an opportunity with both hands.

His Born to Shine EP consists of six Kwaito songs that he composed, and which are produced by B.I.G. Prince. The songs include He’s on my back, Top life, Swaggernova, Woza Baby, Black African and Born2Shine.

His target audiences are both young and old music lovers.

Through his EP, Ace aims to encourage the youth and motivate aspiring artists to believe in their dreams.

He said: “I worked very hard on preparing this music and the waiting eventually paid off.

“This EP means a lot to me and I believe it will put food on the table because there was a lot of hard work put in it.”

His life’s experiences contributed to the storytelling of his music.

“I want to draw more followers and inspire young artists. In the music, I talk about God and how He blessed me and also touch on my roots. I believe we are all born to shine in this world,” said Ace.

During this festive season, Ace plans on shooting a music video in the Alberton area and later uploading his music online.

He thanked the support received from his followers who have positively received his fourth EP.
