23 7 Blue Pea Country Market every Saturday at Rietvlei Zoo Farm, from 8am till 1pm. You’ll find fresh vegetables, healthy food options, home-made delicacies, arts and crafts as well as some unique products. Enjoy delicious ready-to-eat food and a wonderful family atmosphere. Stalls are available to sell your produce at R150 per Saturday. The venue is pet friendly, so feel free to bring your furry friends along too. 23 The Animal Anti-Cruelty League-Johannesburg will be hosting Carols in the Barn on November 23. A children’s choir accompanied by a Marimba band will sing Carols, and music groups and artists will also entertain guests. An artisanal market offers a chance to do early shopping, with pony rides and Santa’s arrival entertaining the children. Picnic baskets are available to order, along with yummy farm style pizzas. Join them at Penbritte Equestrian Centre from 5pm to 8.30pm. Entrance is charged at R50 for adults and R20 for children 12 years and under. A family of two adults and three children under 12 enter at R150.

23 Come and enjoy fun in the sun on the slides and in the foam pond at General Alberts Primary School with their Summer Blast. Fun starts at 10am until 4pm on November 23. Entrance is charged at R20 per person. An additional R100 per person will give you access to all slides and foam pond. Food and cold drinks will also be sold. 30 Join Stepping Stone Hospice for a tree-lighting ceremony on November 30 at Reading Country Club. It is a perfect opportunity to enjoy a picnic under starry skies with family and loved ones. It has 35 interesting stalls, including gourmet coffee, craft beer and gin, fine wines, cocktails, exotic multicultural food, live music, local fashion and art, this urban attraction is most definitely the best hangout on the first Sunday of every month. The Jozi Urban Market is situated on the fifth floor covered car park rooftop of Gold Reef Casino, which offers a spectacular view of Johannesburg. The market runs from 10am to 3pm, giving you ample time to catch a meal, relax while sipping a craft gin or beer in the chill area, listen to soft live jazz or have family fun in the free Seeff Nerf Battle Zone. There is something for everyone, including car and fitness enthusiasts.

7 It’s that time of year again and you are invited to the Bracken Family Fun day on December 7 from 9am till 2pm at Jackson Dam, Jackson Street Brackenhurst.
