Trick or Treat event promises to be a real blast

THE annual Glenvista and New South Residents Association (GANSRA) Trick or Treat event promises to be even more fun this year with The Green and Glenvista Country Club coming on board.

This year the “spooky” event will be held at The Green and Glenvista Country Club, bringing a safer and fun experience for children and adults alike, on November 2 from 4pm till late.

“We’ve held the Trick or Treat event in Allen Road and Nondela Place, Glenvista, for the past few years, but even though we made the area as secure as possible, there was always a safety risk involved, with little children running around,” said Ward 23 councillor Sarah Wissler.

This year the Trick or Treat event promises to be a real blast! There will be loads of entertainment, including scary tales, spooky walks, a haunted house, face painting, jumping castles for the younger children, as well as a secure play area with lots of safe and secure parking. ER24 will be on standby and a fire engine will be at the event.

There will be a competition for the best dressed in different age categories with lots of prizes up for grabs, so dress up and come along for a fantastic family Trick or Treat.

Food will be available to purchase as well as beverages for children and adults and Tasko’s from Glenvista Shopping Centre will be selling pre-packed sweets at the entrance to the event.

“We are fortunate to have some great sponsors coming on board, including Allegiance Property Joburg South and Keller Williams South, as well as Tasko and our two venue hosts, Mark Knight (owner of The Green) and Dudley Wellen from Glenvista Country Club,” added Sarah.

“This is an event not to be missed, there is no entry fee (apart from bags of sweets) and with our haunted house, and everything else spooky, a fun time is promised,” said Mark and Dudley.
