Johannesburg Flying Squad recovers stolen vehicle in Alberton

SAPS Johannesburg Flying Squad busted a male suspect for allegedly stealing a motor vehicle on October 9.

SAPS Johannesburg Flying Squad busted a male suspect for allegedly stealing a motor vehicle on October 9.

Members of Johannesburg Flying Squad picked up a signal that showed that a vehicle, which had been stolen at about 1pm in Springs, was in Alberton.

They swiftly responded and an African male was taken in.

He will face charges of possession of suspected stolen motor vehicle. He is yet to appear in the local magistrate’s court.

Alberton SAPS commended the work done by law enforcement officers.

Alberton SAPS spokesperson Capt Manare Ramotshela, commented: “We thank W/O Stephen Bremner, Sgt Desmond Subramoney and Const Gerald Rust from JHB Flying Squad. The management team of Alberton SAPS, under the command of the station commander Col Doctor Sibuyi, has welcomed the good work done.”

He said the vehicle was taken to Benoni SAPS vehicle pound for the owner to identify the vehicle.
