On Thursday, June 6 at about 09:10 Warrant officer Gideon Mabaso was in his service patrolling motor vehicle and noticed a person who was on the side of the road.
As the SAPS daily ways of performing their duties, he stopped the car and asked if he may search him. Permission was granted and as he continued with the search and recovered blue plastic containing drugs.
The suspect was formally informed of his constitutional rights and that he is under arrest. He was taken to the police station for detention.
A case docket was opened and the suspect detained as per the alleged criminal activities committed. The drugs will be taken to the specialist for verification and the suspect will soon be in the local court of law to face the music.
