Neighbourhood watch invites community to a meeting

EDEN PARK’s Pas Op Neighbourhood Watch invites the community to its awareness community meeting taking place on June 8 at 9am in JD Thomas Community Hall.

The neighbourhood watch has for the past six months actively patrolled the entire community of Eden Park.

Residents have raised questions and are curious about the group’s operations, which has led to the neighbourhood watch’s decision to hold this meeting.

According to John Fillies, chairperson of the neighbourhood watch, the meeting will serve to raise awareness of crimes that take place in the area and how they will be tackled by the group.

“The neighbourhood watch strives to help the local SAPS in crime prevention in the area as well as to help secure the residents’ property. We are against burglaries and every criminal activity. We encourage members of the public to come in their numbers,” he said.
