Pedestrians in Alberante walk on roads as pavements are inaccessible
The rocks are large, uneven and completely covering the pavement.
RESIDENTS of Alberante are complaining about pavements that have become inaccessible to pedestrians.
“It is a big danger as pedestrians have to walk on the road. The rocks are large, uneven and completely covering the pavement,” said a resident who wishes to stay anonymous.
“Homeowners should remember that although they have a responsibility to maintain their pavements, it is not their property and must at all times provide for safe passage of pedestrians,” said the resident.
The RECORD awaits a comment from Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality.
