REMINDER: Residents reminded of tariff hikes as from July 1

RESIDENTS and the business sector are reminded that tariffs will increase as from July 1 as announced by the MMC for finance and economic development Clr Doctor Xhakaza when he tabled the 2018/2019 budget speech.

Residents will start noticing changes to their July monthly account statements.

Tariffs have increased as follow:

• Assessment rates 6.9 per cent

• Water 12.96 per cent

• Sanitation nine per cent

• Refuse removal 7.5 per cent

• Electricity between 5.32 per cent and 8.5 per cent (subject to usage)
