Vodacom store in Lemon Tree robbed in broad daylight

Armed robbers made away with cellphones from a Vodacom store in Lemon Tree shopping centre.

THE Vodacom store in Lemon Tree shopping centre was robbed by armed suspects on June 27 at around 1.15pm.

Seven suspects entered the shopping centre and made their way towards the Vodacom store.

According to Captain Manare Ramotshela, spokesperson for the Alberton Police, four of the suspects entered the store and demanded the money from the cash register and stole some of the phones in the store. The other suspects did not enter the store and stayed outside. There was no violence during the robbery and no injuries occurred.

The suspects escaped the premises in three vehicles, the description of which is currently unknown.
