At about 11:00, 3 perps entered the Pep Store at New Redruth Mall and proceed to lock all the store employees at one of the offices.
They took cellphones and other valuables.
SAPS, Security Companies, Metro and CPF responded to the scene after the alarm was given.
WATCH:
After a long stand-off, SAPS Special Task Team entered the premises to free the people thought to be kept hostage but no perps were found in the premises.
Luckily, no one was hurt during the robbery

This helicopter works a lot, every other week is hovering in KATHORUS or Alberton, carjacking are hectic this side.
