Stepping Stone Hospice caregivers get spoiled
Cherish started this initiative at the beginning of the year, and called it “Caring for the Caregiver”.
CHERISH, a woman’s ministry from Doxa Deo Meyersdal, recently visited Stepping Stone Hospice to hand out gifts to their caregivers.
Cherish started this initiative at the beginning of the year, and called it “Caring for the Caregiver”. It is a monthly occasion and every month, different gifts are handed out.
“We want the caregivers to receive recognition that is owed to them because they do wonderful jobs that not every person can do,” said Mardia Siertsema on behalf of Cherish.
Hospice’s caregivers each received a coffee mug with a thoughtful message printed on it. Inside the mugs were delicious winter treats. Needless to say, these sentiments were received with big smiles and appreciation.
Cherish is appealing to the community to please contribute towards this initiative, and/or joining their ministry. If you are interested, feel free to call Mardia on 011 867 5954 or pop an email to meyersdal@doxadeo.org.
