Church hosts joyous thanksgiving concert

“The aim is to make this event an annual occasion to build a relationship between the churches and the community."

THE AFM (Apostolic Faith Mission) Church presented a gospel concert never seen in Eden Park since 1976. Packed to capacity, the church building seemed very small. It was free to attend.

Sunday, November 26, turned out to be an evening never to be forgotten by the community of Eden Park and those who travelled from Reiger Park and Eldorado Park.

The event was organised by the event co-ordinator, Dallon Bluemeyer.

Gospel groups like Living Voices, United, Atmosphere Changers, Gershwin Riddles and Apostle KC Nyikiza had the audience on their feet, clapping hands and screaming for more.

“This event was a thanksgiving community gospel concert in which I wanted the community to thank the Lord for His grace, love and everything He has given and done for us throughout this year,” said Dallon.

“The aim is to make this event an annual occasion to build a relationship between the churches and the community where they will even hold hands and, together, solve problems that we face daily, such as crime, substance abuse and plenty others,” he added.

The concert was a big success, with many audience members saying they wish the concert was hosted every month. Every group was superb.
