ON Saturday night, October 29, I went out with friends to the Alberton Tennis Club.
People were busy decorating the hall for a party. I went to the bathroom and on my way there I peeped through the door of the hall – I was amazed at what I saw!
It was Hippie Valley at its best with the best Hippie décor ever. There was even a photo booth that looked like a real Volkswagen Kombi.
Flowers, old vinyls, psychedelic words and signs, tie-dyed tablecloths, real homemade “burning” cigarettes and so many other cool stuff made the hall look awesome!
I wanted to find out who planned this and I was told it was a lady called Hanlie or Hantie Nolte (I’m not quite sure about her first name). I want to tell her that this must be the best party the Alberton Tennis Club has ever seen! What an outstanding job.
Well done to you and your helpers and thank you for helping me relive my days in the Hippie era. A big shout-out, hooray and cheers to you! You’re the best.
