People share their Women’s Day thoughts

"Women are so wonderful, every day should be Women’s Day.”

WITH Women’s Day being today, the RECORD decided to ask people around the community what their thoughts are on this special day and what women mean to them. Here is what they had to say.

WOMEN BE FREE: Cheryl Jones, a visitor from Meyerton said: “I wish women can have freedom from mental and physical abuse. I’m lucky to have a wonderful husband. A man and wife should be side-by-side no matter what.”
WOMEN’S DAY EVERY DAY: Busi Matomane from Soweto said: “Men should stop abusing woman and be kind to them! Men and women should be treated equally, because women are great, too. Women are so wonderful. Every day should be Women’s Day.”
BE RESPECTABLE: Ian (who wishes to keep his surname secret) said: “Men should have respect for women and be true to them, but the same goes for women. Ladies, be stable, committed and have respect for yourself, then men wouldn’t help but always love and care for you.”
LOVE WOMEN: Guy Friedman from Brackendowns said: “Without women, we wouldn’t be here, would we? They deserve all love, loyalty and respect. And don’t forget the golden rule: ‘men are always wrong’.”
