Young model (10) sells cupcakes for Mandela Day

With 48 cupcakes at R10 each, Monique was able to raise a hearty gift for the SPCA.

FIGURES model Monique Pestana (10), along with her mother and a few cousins, went to the Alberton SPCA to sell cupcakes in aid of the SPCA on Mandela Day, July 18.

Monique has done plenty of charity work in the past, including raising funds and collecting dog food for the Alberton SPCA; donating Christmas gifts to Resthaven Children’s Home, Door of Hope and Pantry in Need; collecting clothes for AMCARE and CPF and several other charity deeds. She has a deep love for animals and babies and dreams of becoming a paediatrician when she grows up.

Monique and her mom, Jannalene Bezuidenhout, baked the cupcakes the night before and they were ever so delicious! With 48 cupcakes at R10 each, Monique was able to raise a hearty gift for the SPCA. You go, girl!

HARD AT WORK: Monique makes a “R10” sign before declaring the cupcake stand open.
