Joining forces to help Caravan Park for Mandela Day

THE Brackendowns police, along with the Community Policing Forum, Rawson Properties, Med-help, Engen Brackenhurst, Angels of Hope and National Paramedics, made a difference for Mandela Day.
On Tuesday, July 18, forces were joined to make the day for around 500 people living in an informal settlement called Caravan Park, on the outskirts of Alberton.
The large group of people met at the Brackendowns Police Station and joined a convoy that left for the informal settlement just after 9am.
Upon their arrival at Caravan Park, the team set up gazebos and tables for the collected toys and clothes to be distributed to those living there, as well as some delicious soup and bread.
