Two suspects arrested with rifles, connected to other cases

The car will be taken to VIS for further investigation.

Two suspects have been arrested after the SAPS ported a white VW Golf seven driving in a high speed, at the corner of Berry Marey and Sprayd Views off ramp yesterday, July 13, at about 1:15am.

The police made necessary arrangements with the other members in the area, followed the suspects till they pulled the car off at the corner of grey avenue on ramp N3 to JHB direction.

The suspects, between the ages of 35 and 50 years, were searched and two rifles were recovered in their car.

One AK 47 , one R5 and a 9 mm pistol with a theft case of Chatsworth SAPS. The R5 has been illegally possessed with the Umbilo case number.

The car will be taken to VIS for further investigation.
