Still the Flowers Grow

When nights are long and spirits low, when days are short and bring the snow,

When health and wealth ebb to and fro, when friends and family come and go,

When life has little left to show,

Remember – still the flowers grow.

“Helen Steiner Rice was born on May 19, 1900, in Lorain, Ohio. She was one of the first women to work in public utility. She was a successful businesswoman and lecturer and found it most satisfying to write verses for greeting cards. She also wrote a number of books, which sold nearly seven million copies. She died on April 23, 1981,” explained Hilda.

The Magic of Love

Love is like magic and it always will be, for love still remains life’s sweet mystery,

Love works in ways that are wondrous and strange, and there’s nothing in life that love cannot change,

Love can transform the most commonplace, into beauty and splendour and sweetness and grace.

Love is unselfish, understanding and kind, for it sees with its heart and not with the mind.

Love is the answer that everyone seeks, love is the language that every heart speaks.

Love can’t be bought it is priceless and free, love like pure magic is life’s sweet mystery.

This wonderful morning was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
