BREAKING NEWS:

THANDO Madida (19) from Glenvista has been missing since Friday afternoon, May 19.

According to some reports, Thando told her helper at home that she was going out with her friend; her mother, Sthembile Malinga-Madida, who believes her daughter is still alive, says she last saw her on Friday morning. The helper said Thando left home at around 5.30pm. Sthembile reports that Thando called her at 7pm and said she was at the Glen. At 9pm Sthembile tried calling her daughter but her phone was off.

On social media there are reports that Thando was spotted in Rosebank in a different change of clothing from the one she left home in.

“We tried to trace her car with a tracker only to find out later that she left the car in the garage because she used an Uber. But when we traced all the addresses on her Uber account we couldn’t find her even with the help of the police,” said a report from her mother.

It is alleged that she left home wearing a pink jersey with pale blue jeans. Anyone with information can contact Thando’s mother Sthembile on 082 317 8517 or report it to the nearest police station.

There have also been reports that Thando was found dead after she had been reported missing over the weekend, but her family has confirmed that she is not dead and is still missing.

Sthembile did confirm to the RECORD that a case was opened at Florida Police Station and we are currently waiting for a full report from the provincial spokesperson.
