Residents must be aware

People can report incidents like this to the SAPS.

ON Thursday, January 19 at 05:00, a resident living in Hesperus Street, Raceview, saw a man outside her house.

“He was standing at the electricity pole cutting out the cables,” said Nonhlanhla KaMagwanyana Gasa. “After my helper shouted at him, he walked away.”

They went to inspect the pole and found that the cables in her neighbour’s electricity pole had already been removed. “Our cables were almost cut out. I’m not sure where to report the matter. We fear that he’s coming back,” Gasa said.
