Residents are concerned

No service delivery in Palmridge, Eden Park, Phola Park and Thokoza.

There is a very serious problem with service delivery issues like street lights not working, potholes, overgrown grass, illegal dumping and sewerage overflows. It is the first 100 days of the new council and the residents from these areas are facing all of the above problems.

Both Ward and PR Councillors were elected by the residents and they do not care to serve the residents of these areas. In these wards there are ANC ward councillors and DA PR Councillors who do nothing for these residents. The ANC and DA need to take their councillors to task, for non- performance of their duties in these wards.

We the residents know that the DA has a PDMS system in place which evaluates and monitors their councillors performance, it would be very interesting to see how these councillors are assessed. As far as the ANC is concerned we do not know how their councillors are assessed. These new councillors that we have are only concerned about their own pockets and not interested in serving the residents.

We the residents of the above areas would like to say that the previous councillors we has served their residents tirelessly.

The ANC and DA must do something urgently about their councillors in these wards and remember that the 2019 elections are not very far off. One of the biggest problems the communities face is that the councillors are never available on their phones. After voting for both these parties we the residents do not deserve this type of service from our councillors.

We the residents of the above wards would like to make an appeal to both parties to do something urgently about this situation.
