Paying tribute to Mark Boucher
Cricket fans will have the opportunity to honour a true South African sporting legend, Mark Boucher, at his official tribute gala dinner on October 30.
JOHANNESBURG – RAM Hand-to-Hand Couriers has announced that it will be hosting the event in honour of the legendary all-rounder at the Sandton Sun in Johannesburg.
The Mark Boucher Tribute Gala will provide fans with the unique opportunity to celebrate his illustrious career, showing this world record holder just some of the appreciation he deserves for the many years of exciting cricket he has given his fans across the globe.
Boucher’s record speaks for itself, with countless achievements spanning his sporting career including being voted South African Cricketer of the Year in 1998, 2000 and 2006. He also holds the world record for the quickest 200 test match catches and is the first wicket-keeper to have effected 400 dismissals.
Furthermore, Boucher also hit the winning runs in the world record 438 run ODI game at Wanderers; he holds the record for the most dismissals in test cricket – 999 dismissals to be exact; is statistically the most successful wicketkeeper in the history of cricket in addition to his remarkable success as a bowler and batsman; and has represented South Africa as Captain and Vice-Captain.
