Figures Models hold an event of contrasts

Mall at Newmarket hosted yet another wonderful social event for the Figures Model Finesse Alberton branch, on Saturday, October 15.

The simple, yet highly effective black and white theme of the show had everyone’s creative juices flowing and this definitely showed as all the students dressed up and turned out in glorious style.

With the junior and senior shows running back-to-back, the stage was a continuous swirl of black and white – feathers and gowns, from mad hatter-type characters to soft elegance, Halloween-themed costumes to hearts and geometric shapes – there was no end to the variety.

Studio 55 dancers entertained the audience with hip-hop, ballet and contemporary dances.

The show was a medley of graduating students, best dressed, top-scorers, Miss Congeniality and Mr Personality nominees.

The students were judged by two of the branch’s very finest – Danielle, who currently has a three-year international contract with IMG and is a matric student in Alberton, and Kayla Warrick, a former Figures Alberton Teacher and Model of the Year Winner.
