NATIONAL NEWS: Man left critically injured

Local authorities were on scene to investigate further.

A man, believed to be 30-years-old, was left critically injured after he was hit by a light motor vehicle at the Sim and Tulbagh Road intersection in Kempton Park on November 6.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly before 23:00 and found the patient lying on the pavement in a small puddle of water.
Upon assessment, paramedics found that the man had sustained a serious head injury leaving him in a critical condition.
Paramedics immediately began their treatment as well as providing the patient with several advanced life support interventions.
Once treated, the patient was transported to a nearby Provincial Hospital for further treatment.
The driver of the light motor vehicle was assessed and found to have escaped injury.
