What happened to the geysers?

Residents want answers.

THE outcry and the most asked question by many residents in Eden Park is: “What happened to the geysers?”

In 2013 and 2014 residents were excited when contractors arrived and started to install geysers in many of the houses. Many were waiting in anticipation to have hot water in the homes.

As informed by the contractors, the newly installed geysers were sponsored by Eskom. These geysers were installed all around many areas in Ekurhuleni and some areas in Johannesburg. But everything came to an abrupt standstill in 2014. The usual sight of contractors working on roofs vanished.

The RECORD requested comment from EMM on August 19 and again on August 24 but no response was forthcoming.

Eskom was also asked to comment on August 29, but no comment was received by the time of going to press.
