SOUTH African Sport Hall of Fame comes to Carnival City this weekend following a successful exhibition at Sun City during the December 2015 holidays. Sports enthusiasts young and old are encouraged to celebrate the country’s rich sporting history at the expo, which includes Southerners as well. The expo is open from April 9 to 24.
Among the attractions will be the opportunity for visitors to test their skills with virtual simulators for golf, rugby and soccer disciplines. Visitors will also get to meet and greet some of South Africa’s sporting greats from today and yesteryear as well as have an exclusive look at what they can expect from the future permanent home of the South African Sport Hall of Fame, which is currently being built at Sun City’s Entertainment Centre .
Live sporting events will be broadcast on a big screen, including Super Rugby matches with celebrity guests on April 9, 17 and 23, such as Danie Gerber, Chester Williams and Derick Hougaard amongst others.
Opening times are 11:00 to 20:00 on Sundays through Thursdays, and 10:00 to 21:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. A nominal entrance fee of R30 will apply to all guests over 12 years old. Children under 12 will gain free entry.
