THE third instalment in The Divergent Series, Allegiant, starts showing at Nu Metro The Glen from Friday, March 18.
This visually spectacular sci-fi action-adventure will also be showing in the Scene Xtreme cinema at Nu Metro The Glen – featuring Ultra HD visuals and an immersive Dolby 7.1 sound experience.
Tris (Shailene Woodley) and Four (Theo James), the film’s two leads, must escape beyond the wall enclosing Chicago, through the toxic deserts of the Fringe, and into the shiny arms of the Bureau of Genetic Welfare. Here they encounter the sinister David, performed to great effect by acclaimed actor Jeff Daniels.
For the first time ever, they will leave the only city and family they have ever known. Once outside, old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless with the revelation of shocking new truths. Tris and Four must quickly decide who they can trust, as a ruthless battle ignites beyond the walls of Chicago, threatening all of humanity.
In order to survive, Tris will be forced to make impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice and love.
Veronica Roth’s source novel has been split into two movies, and Allegiant is setting up the action and main threads of the storyline. The second part of the novel and follow-up to Allegiant, Ascendant, is due for cinema release next year.
