Robbery victim begins road to recovery

Following a brutal attack, Randhart robbery victim Wendy Roos is recovering at home.

WENDY Roos, one of the victims of the Randhart robbery on March 5, is recovering at her home following the attack.

Roos returned home on Sunday, March 6, after she and her daughter-in-law were attacked by two assailants in front of her gate. “I was in the front passenger seat when they opened the door and started hitting me. I was pistol-whipped in the head and hit in the mouth with a brick,” Roos stated.

A case of robbery with a firearm has been opened at the Alberton SAPS, according to spokesperson Sergeant Phora Nkuna. “The two victims were transported to hospital via ambulance,” he stated. No arrests have yet been made.
