Two metro officials received a tip-off about a man selling drugs

EDEN Park SAPS, the Tactical Reaction Team, Provincial and Cluster Police kicked off with Operation Fiela on Tuesday, January 19, running into Wednesday, January 20. Metro Police also formed part of the operation.

While on patrol in Palmridge Extension Seven, two metro officials received a tip-off about a man selling drugs. According to the police report, the informant gave a detailed description of the man.

It is further reported that when the suspect was searched, he was found in possession of nine and a half grey tablets with a star imprint. He was arrested and detained at Eden Park SAPS.

Warrant Officer David Mathobela reported that most of the other drug busts happened during a stop-and-search operation in the streets of Eden Park, Greenfields and Palmridge.

“This operation will be a continuous task by the police fighting the war against drugs which is plaguing our communities,” said Mathobela.
