Figures finish the year with a bang

Figures Models and Talent Alberton is ending 2015 with a bang.

ALBERTON – Figures Models and Talent Alberton finished their year in style with the semi-finals for the IMTA talent search at the Roodepoort Youth Theatre on Sunday, November 1. Contestants included models, actors, singers and dancers.

The finalists will be competing against each other in a nationwide competition to be held on February 6 and 7, 2016, at the Roodepoort Theatre. The winners from each category will win an all-expenses paid trip to the prestigious IMTA Convention in New York in July 2016.

On November 7 the semi-finals for the National Model of the Year were held at the Brackenpark Hall in Alberton. Only nine finalists were chosen from each of the respective age categories and the finals are going to be held on December 4, 5 and 6 at the Roodepoort Youth Theatre. Nine winners in each age category were divided into ramp, commercial and fashion models to win a cash prize.

Figures spokesperson, Emma Griffin, said: “We would like to thank the sponsors for their generosity in both the vouchers and cash and for supporting our youngsters. This made the debutante division a highly contested and much sought after win as crowns, sashes and prizes were up for grabs. The National Model of the Year finals promise to be an exciting event with much participation from the contestants and anticipation from the guests.”
