EDEN PARK – During the Easter holidays, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) removed all the dumped rubbish on the vacant stand, at the corner of Ford and Corona streets and left the stand in a perfect and clean condition.
After the cleanup youngsters in the area reportedly started using the piece of land as a car wash.
The car wash did not last long and during the winter holidays, it is believed residents from Ford, Corona, Fiat and Cortina streets turned the clean, empty piece of land into a dumping site, without caring about the health risk this could pose to themselves and the rest of the neighbourhood.
