Barbie comes to Mall of the South
The launch of Toys R Us' expanded venue will be marked by a special appearance by Barbie on Saturday, September 26.
ALBERTON – Toys R Us is expanding its toy and baby presence with the launch of a combined Toys R Us and Babies R Us store in the Mall of the South, Johannesburg, this month.
Doors to the retailer’s newest store open on Thursday, September 24, signaling the launch of a “one-stop shop” which brings the two brands together in a single location. “We are incredibly proud of our newest addition as it offers our customers the widest selection of maternity and baby essentials and exclusive toy products conveniently located in one place,” said Michelle Burke, marketing manager Toys R Us South Africa.
The whole family is invited to the store’s exciting grand opening where they can browse the aisles. Here they will find a large selection of baby essentials, including products for outfitting children from birth to two years old, nursery furniture as well as toys and entertainment products ranging from classic favourites to educational toys and technology-driven entertainment.
The store’s opening will see the Barbie brand come to life when the iconic doll makes a live in-store appearance on Saturday, September 26.
Children will have the opportunity to meet Barbie in person, have their pictures taken and receive her autograph from 11am to 1pm.
