Afrikaans movie to hit cinemas

The movie, Vir Altyd, will be distributed by Ster Kinekor Entertainment.

VIR ALTYD, a new Afrikaans romantic adventure movie, penned by the same writers, producers and director of the successful romantic comedy, Pad na jou Hart, is set to hit the big screen in February next year.

The movie will be released ahead of Valentine’s Day on February 12, 2016.

Vir Altyd starts in the beautiful vineyards of Paarl in the Western Cape but the adventure really takes off when the characters find themselves on the tropical island of love, Mauritius.

Filming in Mauritius was made possible by the film’s partner, World Leisure Holidays, and was a highlight for the 40-odd expert cast and crew members.

The official trailer for Vir Altyd releases on October 28, but until then members of the public can enjoy the film’s teaser trailer!

The screenplay, written by Ivan Botha and Donnalee Roberts, has been adapted into a novel by Francois Bloemhof and will be available in bookstores across the country from October 26. The novel is published by NB Publishers.

Vir Altyd will be distributed by Ster Kinekor Entertainment.
