The South’s own songbird

Christine Roslyn Mansour is forever performing at functions, events and shows hosted in the south.

JOHANNESBURG – Many a resident has enjoyed the sounds and songs of easily one of the most recognisable singers in the South, Christine Roslyn Mansour (36).

Christine who has been singing since she was seven years old, travels all the way from Chancliff, Krugersdorp, to wow guests and collect applause in the South. For the super songstress music is her first love and a place that brings her tremendous joy. “It nurtures me and the audiences I sing for,” she said.

The songbird of the south is multi-talented and used to work as a chef before making music her full-time career.

“I have an internationally accredited diploma in hotel management and public relations. I worked as a chef in The Grace Hotel, Avianto and Casalinga before I took the leap of faith into the music industry. In 2007 I performed at the Johannesburg Theatre alongside Harry Sideropoulos’ Songs from the Mediterranean, I regularly perform at corporate functions for Momentum, Nedbank and Famous Brands and can add the Caxton Media awards to my list. I have a music and movement school called Beautiful Little Minds, where I stimulate gross and fine motor skills, as well as cognitive development with children through music, using musical instruments and movement.”

To date Christine has not only released two albums, It finally happened to me and Begin Again, but also enjoyed airplay on

Highveld, Jacaranda FM, Classic FM and Radio Today. She has worked extensively with charity organizations including the Gateway Society, SANCA, the Alhzeimers Association, Return to Roots Foundation, Childline and the Prevention of Rape Against Woman and Children.
