A fun family cycle challenge will take place on Sunday, July 26, to raise funds for 14-year old Brendon Macdonald, who suffers from progressive scoliosis or severe curvature of the spine.

Due to complications the family’s medical aid is unable to cover the costs of the operation.

Participants can choose between a 12km or 32km route. The entry fee for children is R100 and R250 for adults. The race starts at 10:00 at the Circus Coffee Shop on the R59.

Race finishers will be handed a race medal by Miss United Nations South Africa, Desiree Oliphant, and a hamburger and cold-drink sponsored by the Circus Coffee Shop.

Food stalls will be available to fill the tummies of the spectators as they vie to win the food vouchers up for grabs in a raffle.
