JOHANNESBURG – In an effort to raise awareness and funds to fight human trafficking, the EPIC foundation is calling for entries to walk with them in the 702 Walk the Talk.

Their goal is get 500 people to walk the 702 Walk the Talk, by Wednesday, May 27, to help stand a chance to win R50 000. 702 will be donating R50 000 to the charity with the most entries by May 28. The prize money will be divided between the network partners according to the amount of people that each organisation manages to sign up.

All entries and payments must be sent in by May 27, as all entries must be made together under the same charity group to increase their chance of winning the prize money.

The Walk the Talk takes place on Sunday, July 26, 2015. All charities which are entering the competition must have their entries in by May 28 to qualify. The main EPIC Foundation team will be walking eight kilometres on the day, but each person is welcome to choose between five, eight and 21km distances. The entry fee for a ticket is R200. The standard race entry is R150, and R50 will be donated to fight human trafficking as well as a portion towards printing generic handout material for the day. The balance of the R50 after printing costs will be given to the organisation that the person signs up through.

EPIC Foundation asks that all participants walking against human trafficking wear black shirts. Generic handouts will be provided on the day, as they want to ensure that the same message is being spoken by all.
