Amended Alrode and Thokoza load reduction schedule
Ekurhuleni Metro Municipality has sent through an amended load reduction schedule for Alrode and Thokoza. This schedule is implemented due to the oil valve theft at substation Z2 and Z7.
ALBERTON – *Alrode has been divided into three different areas for the purpose of the temporary load shedding schedule.
B10 includes Dan Jacobs Street, Arnold Street and Potgieter Street. B20 includes Chris Street and Diens Street. B30 is Clark Street and Fuchs Street.
Alrode B10 will have power from 06:00 to 10:00 daily and again on 18:00 to 22:00, the rest of the day this area will be without power.
Alrode B20 will have power between 10:00 and 14:00 and again at 22:00 and 2:00.
Alrode B30 will have power between 14:00 and 18:00 and again at 02:00 to 6:00.
This schedule will be implemented over and above normal load shedding implemented by Eskom.
*Thokoza has also been divided into three areas.
B10 includes Phenduka Section, Hostels and Auditorium. B20 includes the Thokoza Time Housing Section. B30 includes Basothong, Mpilisweni, Thintwa Sections
Thokoza will be affected on April 30 at the following times:
Thokoza B10 will have power between 06:00 and 9:00 and again on 15:00 to 06:00.
Thokoza B20 will have power between 09:00 and 12:00 and then again between 18:00 to 6:00.
Thokoza B30 will have power between 15:00 and 6:00.
On May 1 the areas in Thokoza will be affected as follows:
Thokoza B10 will have power from 12:00 to 15:00.
Thokoza B20 will have power from 6:00 to 9:00 and again from 15:00 to 06:00.
Thokoza B30 will have power from 9:00 to 12:00 and again from 18:00 to 06:00.
