Public participation meeting
The draft Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and draft Multi Year Budget which allows for community participation have been formally tabled in Council in January.
ALBERTON – In line with that, the Executive and the Legislature will jointly hold public meetings and a decision has been made to combine IDP/Budget Public Participation meetings with the Imbizos for this year.
These meetings are scheduled to take place on the following days at 18:00 (subject to change):
* Alberton – April 15 at Bracken Park Hall
* Thokoza – April 21 at Thokoza Youth Centre
* Vosloorus – April 22 at Nguni Hall.
To hold meaningful consultation meetings, the participation and involvement of EMM departments are critical, and the metro has requested full participation of respective departments in these meetings to take input from the communities into consideration,
The final IDP and Budget is to be approved by Council in its meeting of May 29.
