Pay your tekkie tax in advance
Soon it will be that time of the year again when you can kick of your high heels, school shoes or boots and swap them for your comfy pair of tekkies (we all know you want to). The best part – it is all for a good cause.
ALBERTON – How, you ask? Friday, May 29 is Tekkie Tax Day! All you have to do is choose the sector you want to support and yes, you may choose more than one.
You can choose to support animals, basic family care, children, disability or education.
Stickers are already available at R10 per sticker (that is the tax you pay) and/or purchase a pair of our funky shoelaces called “tekkie tags”, thereby avoiding disappointment if these items get sold out prior to Tekkie Tax Day.
The stickers and “tekkie tags” are available from AMCARE Centre of Faith, Hope & Love, 15 Heidelberg Road, on the corner of Ascot Road, New Market Park, Alberton or contact them on 011 869 5856 for more details.
